How can I customize the nameservers?
How can I customize the nameservers my customers see when they purchase shared hosting?
If you have registered your own nameservers and would prefer to use them rather than ns1.ibizdns.com and ns2.ibizdns.com when your customers purchase shared hosting, follow these steps.
You will need to set up a "customized attribute" for each of your Website/Hosting offers. To do this:
- Go to the "Product Manager" tab and either "Direct Client Offers" or "Reseller Offers", depending on where your hosting offer is located.
- Edit the Advanced Options (gear icon) on your Website/Hosting offer.
- Click on Customize Offer Attributes in the Advanced Settings section.
- Choose the Primary DNS attribute from the drop down at the bottom of the page and click Add.
- Select the Type to be DEFAULT, enter your nameserver as the value, and click Add.
- Repeat the last two steps for Secondary DNS.
NOTE: If you have more than one Website/Hosting offer, repeat all the steps above for each offer.
